Officer Kurk Begue

Officer Begue

On Tuesday Mayor Bailey and the Loveland City Council recognized Officer Kurk Begue for his 18 years of service. Officer Begue retired from the Loveland Police Department (LPD) in September.  Officer Begue joined the LPD weeks after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Kurk served on several vital roles including accident reconstructionist, field training officer, and defensive tactics instructor,

Chief Rahe stated that “Kurk was most respected for his role as a mentor. His calm and even demeanor kept us all focused on handling the situation before us.  No matter how crazy things got, Kurk always had a way of calming everyone down and figuring out a solution”. 

Mayor Bailey expressed her sincere appreciation for Officer Begue and the years of service he gave to the community and that he will both be missed and remembered.
