I am requesting the City of Loveland Police Division (“City”) permit its sworn police officer(s) to work my private event in the officer’s official capacity as a sworn police officer(s.) Each event will be evaluated independently based on its own unique security needs. The Chief of Police, or his/her designee, will determine the number of officer(s) for an event. All events that serve alcohol are required to have a minimum of one officer while alcohol is served.
As of January 1, 2023 the hourly rate will be $75 per hour, per officer assigned to the detail. A 3 hour minimum is required per officer.
A contract for services will be sent to the submitting party and must be completed prior to the detail. The City of Loveland will invoice the organization for services rendered after the event. If the event is cancelled with limited notice any costs incurred by the City will be invoiced to the organization.
If Loveland Officers are unable to fill the requested services you will be notified.
I understand that I am hiring the officer(s) to provide security at my event. The officer(s) will not perform duties outside their job description. This includes, but is not limited to, serving alcohol, handling money, or operating equipment they are not trained on. The officer(s) will take suggestions on how to best provide security at the event, however, they will not perform any action that compromises their own safety, or the safety of others.
I understand if I disagree with a decision by the detail officer(s) I may speak with a supervisor. I agree to contact a supervisor or the Chief of Police after if a supervisor is not available at the event.
If this event involves a parade or moving assemblage I understand I must obtain a Parade or Moving Assemblage Permit. If this event requires a closed roadway (other than for a parade) I must obtain a Road Closure Permit. I further understand I must contact Loveland City Hall for any other permits that may be required for this event.
I agree to save harmless, from any and all claims, actions, causes of actions, costs, damages, and obligations the City and all of its employees, members and agents arising from any and all acts resulting from this event.
I am acting with full authority and authorization of my organization and will be their contact person for the event.
