Campsite Rules: Acknowledgment Required on Permit Request Form

To preserve these sites follow "Leave No Trace" principles and these guidelines throughout your camping experience:

  • Camp in designated areas only
    • Use the designated trails to access the sites and camp inside designated areas. This minimizes erosion and habitat degradation.
    • Natural surface trails are not cleared of snow in the winter; please plan your stay accordingly.
    • The maximum capacity at each site is 4 individuals and 2 tents.
  • Protect our natural resources
    • Trimming or removing trees is not permitted.
    • Campfires are not permitted.
  • Pack waste in and out:
    • There are no trash cans at the sites: plan to carry all trash out upon departure, including human waste.
    • Dogs and cats may accompany their owners in the Park District; however, pets must be controlled on a leash not more than eight feet long, and all excrement must be placed in a litter receptacle. They must not be left unattended.
    • Minimize human waste by using restrooms provided within the parks.
  • Maximum stay is 3 nights for all sites/permits
  • Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. No loud noises, talking, music, etc.
  • No alcohol permitted.
