The City of Loveland completed a website upgrade of LovelandOH.gov.
The city’s main website underwent a five-month redesign process by CivicPlus, a government website provider. Now, the website is mobile-friendly for consistent access across devices and meets the federal government’s ADA-compliance standards per the Americans with Disability Act. Overall, the redesign features a cleaner, easier layout to navigate.
“We’ve updated the website to make it easier for residents to find the news, resources, and forms they need in our community,” said Krista Rose, Marking & Communications Coordinator.
It is important to note that the name and address of the website have not changed. Visitors will continue to use the familiar LovelandOH.gov to access the redesigned website. Please note the site‘s layout may appear differently whether viewed on a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Rose emphasized it was important for the redesign to balance ease of navigation for residents and visitors alike. Loveland’s location along the Little Miami Scenic Trail has made it a popular venue for events and 5Ks, so it was necessary for the site to showcase events and parking information.
The newly redesigned homepage allows residents and visitors to explore:
- Quick links to popular resources, which will be updated monthly
- A roundup of the latest city news and construction projects
- Event calendar highlighting meetings, special events, and city services
- Easy access to LovinLifeLoveland.com, a sister site operated by the city, that highlights places and activities happening around town
- Navigation to stay connected with the City of Loveland on social media
To aid the redesign, the city gathered feedback through a community survey in 2023. Survey results helped pinpoint areas for improvement and report how residents utilize LovelandOH.gov. The majority of respondents stated they visit LovelandOH.gov weekly. The top reasons they visit the site are to read city news and view the event calendar.
With the redesign, the City of Loveland hopes to increase its community engagement and enhance communication with residents and visitors.
