[ARCHIVED] LPD Recognized for Excellence in Policy Management & Training

Lexipol Gold Award LPD

The Loveland Police Department has been recognized for excellence in policy management and training in 2023 by Lexipol, the nation’s leading provider of policy, training and wellness support for first responders and public servants.

The Lexipol Connect program tracks LPD’s performance on five metrics proven to measure success in policy management. LPD achieved Gold, the highest level of recognition offered, for consistent and effective policy dissemination to personnel, timely policy updates as laws change, and officer training on policies.

"The men and women of LPD strive every day to uphold our agency mission by providing Excellent Customer-Oriented Service with Integrity while Continuously Improving. Lexipol is more than simply checking a box, it requires us to keep policies and procedures current and relevant. The department is then trained and tested through daily bulletins. The entire process focuses on reducing risk and increasing safety for our personnel and our community," Chief Michael Gabrielson explained.

LPD’s excellence in policy training enhances community safety by ensuring consistent, effective response based on state and federal law and nationally recognized best practices.
