Congratulations to Lieutenant Amy Campbell who was promoted on June 11! Amy worked at the Springdale Police Department until 2008 when she decided to stay at home with her 4 children for the next 5 years. She realized law enforcement was not something she could simply give up, so she signed up for the police academy for the second time and picked Loveland as the department she wanted to finish out her career with. Hired in 2014, Amy has spent the last 5 years as an evidence technician, field training officer, bike officer and crime prevention officer.
Chief Rahe said, "When I asked her about being at LPD she said she still thinks the job of being mom is the best but I can tell you she has done a wonderful job for our community." Amy's new responsibilities include crime prevention and quartermaster duties.
