[ARCHIVED] Employment Opportunity: Chief Building Official

The City of Loveland is accepting applications for Chief Building Official. This is a contracted position that oversees the enforcement of adopted commercial and residential building codes as established by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce Board of Building Standards. 

  • Provides primary administrative support for the Building and Zoning Department and performs a variety of complex, technical, and administrative duties and assignments related to building inspections, plan reviews, and code amendments. 
  • Acts as the City’s Building Official of a certified building department. 
  • Performs all duties and maintains all certifications and/or licensures necessary for compliance as a Chief Building Official under all state and locally mandated laws and codes.

Applications may be obtained at https://www.lovelandoh.gov/Jobs.aspx or at the Loveland City Hall Building (M-F, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) located at 120 W. Loveland Ave. Applications may be submitted to jdeardorff@lovelandoh.gov. Position is open until filled. The applicant must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License. EOE.
