[ARCHIVED] Independence Day: Event Road & Parking Closures

Parade Route 2023

The City of Loveland’s Independence Day Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 4. Large events such as this require temporary road closures and parking restrictions. The closures will be managed by on-duty law enforcement officers.

Anyone traveling downtown is asked to exercise caution due to the high volume of pedestrians crossing city streets.

Temporary Road Closures

The following road sections will be temporarily closed from 2 to 11 p.m. to through traffic:

  • Railroad Avenue

Additionally, there will be temporary road closures for the parade route from approximately 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The parade route is as follows:

  • Start at Loveland-Madeira Road near Loveland Elementary School
  • North on Loveland-Madeira Road to West Loveland Avenue
  • West Loveland Avenue to the State Route 48/Second Street intersection

Kiwanis Park, including the Matt Haverkamp Foundation Dog Park, will be closed to event parking. Please note the dog park will close at noon on July 4.
