[ARCHIVED] City Trick-or-Treat Hours

Lovin Life Halloween

The City of Loveland will hold trick-or-treat hours on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m.

A few reminders...

Safety Tips from LPD

  • Trick-or-treat in groups.
  • Stay in contact with a parent/guardian by phone, text, or Find My iPhone.
  • Carry a light.
  • Wear reflective clothing.
  • Don't eat any candy/treats while out trick-or-treating. An adult needs to inspect everything first!
  • If you feel uncomfortable visiting a house or if the house is dark, just skip it.

Watch a video from LPD.

Colored Pumpkins

If you see a child carrying a colored pumpkin, it may represent a medical condition. Here are the common meanings:

  • Blue: Autism
  • Purple: Epilepsy/seizures
  • Teal: Food allergies

Sidewalks

Public Works reminds homeowners to please prep your sidewalks to make sure walkways are safe for trick-or-treaters! It is the property owner's responsibility to clear branches/obstructions within 7 ft. over sidewalks and 13 ft. over roads, as well as trimming trees away from blocking street lights and traffic signs.

Street Light Outages

Likewise, make sure your block is well lit for Halloween night. Street light outages can be reported online to Duke Energy.
