[ARCHIVED] Loveland-Symmes Fire Department is awarded International Reaccreditation Status

LSFD Accreditation

Fire Chief Otto Huber was in attendance at the August 28, 2018 Council meeting to  present the city with their recently received Accredited Agency Award from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) in Dallas Texas.  During the presentation Chief Huber expressed his thanks to his staff and especially Deputy Chief Josh Blum for their efforts in the department receiving this prestigious certification. Chief Huber pointed out that LSFD is one (1) of only nine (9) Accredited Fire Departments in the State of Ohio and also that LSFD is one (1) of only eleven (11) departments that is dual certified both in Fire and EMS in the United States. Upon acceptance of the award, Mayor Kathy Bailey stated "it is nice to see that everyone else recognizes what we already knew here in Loveland; that LSFD is an excellent department and one of the cornerstones of our community"
