The Firefighters’ Memorial honors sacrifices made by local public safety officials. It features a memorial to firefighters who lost their lives in the 2009 Charleston, South Carolina, furniture store fire. It also features a piece of the wreckage from the 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks.
